Lions Tigers and Bears Spooky Camp

Meet Natasha the matriarchal tiger, Meatball the bear, and the rest of the animal bunch for a spooky fun camp over the night before Halloween. The Big Cat and Exotic Animal Rescue is hosting a night of fall-related fun for the whole family. Bring your tents, sleeping bags, costumes, and pumpkins for carving. Get ready to roast s’mores, sing campfire songs, and carve pumpkins under the starry night sky. The following morning (Saturday), there will be a costume contest and the big cats and bears will eat their pumpkins. $35 for kids 12 and under, and $50 for adults.

The Bazaar del Mundo in Old Town San Diego is going to be transformed into a walkable trail of decorated alters for this 3-day celebration. There will be traditional sugar skulls, handmade decorations, Day of the Dead inspired clothing and crafts, sugar-skull decorating class (Saturday 12-6 p.m.), face paint, guest artists selling Day of the Dead themed items (jewelry, accessories, etc.) and exotic music will be provided by a Latin American folk group, Tinku. The celebration is from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Experience what is said to be the largest Halloween event in all of San Diego! The event takes up eight city blocks in the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village. Non-stop music will be coming from 20 different DJ’s from San Diego and all across the nation. Drink specials will be offered at over 30 restaurants and bars. Don’t worry about letting loose – catch a free ride home using the Designated Driver program! Party in your favorite costume, and dance the night away. Admission $50-60.

Food will be available, including street tacos, rolled tacos, quesadillas, California burritos, pizza, lemonade, cookies, and Rita’s Italian Ice.
