USA Surfing Championships
Oceanside Harbor
Friday, June 10th at 8am to 5pm (same time on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday as well)
The USA Surfing Championships will take place at the Oceanside north harbor jetty this weekend, so rise and shine in your cozy Oceanside home, and head out to the beach for a day full of surfing entertainment. This event will be for adult longboard, SUP and adaptive divisions. It will be sponsored by Surfing America, Inc. This event is FREE.

OC Hurricanes will be playing at the Pour House in Oceanside this Friday night, so if you need something to do and enjoy great music, come and check them out! Members: Roach Sanchez (Vox/Rhythm Guitar), Gibram “Walter” Chavez (Ebass/Harmonica), Slim “Wray” Cervantez (Lead Guitar), Alex “Little Man” Marcial (Percussions), Oscar “Satan” Ramirez (Ebass/Farfisa Organ). The band likes to play 1960s inspired Garage/Blues/Rock n Roll style music.
Preschool Storytime

Join the Mission Branch Library for a half hour filled with fun. Preschool Storytime was created to inspire your preschool-aged children (3-6) as they explore the incredible world of books. Kids will love listening to the stories, singing along to the songs and actively participating in the finger plays. Storytime is completed with a creative craft or free play.
Projekt X

Another great local band will be playing at the Pour House in Oceanside that weekend, and that is Projekt X. Projekt X is a Rock n Roll group from the north county areas. Members: Walter Figueroa (Vocals), Marko Alden (Guitar/Vocals), Barry Sinclais (Bass Guitars/Vocals), Mark Stulz (Drums/Vocal). This dynamic four-piece band of experienced musicians brings you the best songs from some of your favorite artists of yesterday and today.
Downtown History Walk
Downtown Oceanside

Downtown History Walks are a monthly event hosted each second Saturday by the Oceanside Historical Society. Oceanside native and 101 historian John Daley will be the tour guide, and the walk begins at the Oceanside Civic Center Fountain at Coast Highway and Pier View Way. Participants will get to see historic homes, churches and banks, three Irving J. Gill buildings, the famed “Top Gun” house, the Oceanside Pier and band shell and various other sites. These walks are free and open to all ages, and it lasts about two hours.
Inter-Tribal Pow Wow
Mission San Luis Rey

The annual Inter-Tribal Pow Wow will be in town Saturday and Sunday. Descendants of this area’s original inhabitants, the Luiseños, will return to Mission San Luis Rey to share the traditions of their culture and spiritual beliefs. There will be arts and crafts booths, food booths, dancers and drums, and a drawing contest. Come and see a glimpse of the beautiful culture of the inhabitants that took care of this land before all of this wonderful Oceanside real estate came about.
